Currently, meeting the needs of Russian Railways in short form

trains intended for use in the regions, the NTT Holding has begun
to develop and implement a project of modernization of electric

rolling stock with an extended service life on the basis of the
existing fleet of trains "ЭД4М" and "ЭД9М".
